Dear CoPIRG member,
The most recent session of the Colorado Legislature brought great results for Coloradans. In fact, each of the bills on this page was passed through the Legislature
and signed into law by Gov. Ritter.
CoPIRG helped to pass historic energy efficiency legislation that will save Coloradans money on their utility bills.
We advocated for an affordable prescription drugs bill that will help many Coloradans purchase the medication they depend on every month.
We backed a series of bills to protect Colorado homeowners from predatory
mortgage lenders and ensure that homeowners have the right to hold builders accountable for shoddy construction jobs.
And, on top of all the progress we’ve made in Colorado, in the past few months we’ve seen major reforms in Washington, D.C., including an overhaul to congressional ethics rules.
Of course, much of the credit goes to you, our members. None of this could have happened without your support.
In the coming months, CoPIRG will continue to fight for reforms in Denver and in D.C., including restoring our right to know about toxic pollution in our communities. Thank you again for your continued support.
